The Allmach 6K Team Challenge for Charity is a 6km walk to raise $6000 in May 2023.
6 kms is the distance some children must walk every day, often through dangerous terrain, to source water for their families.
Allmach is partnering with Compassion Australia to help fund the construction of boreholes at two child development centres in Tanzania, transforming these communities and hundreds of children’s lives through the gift of clean water.
According to UNICEF, 15 per cent of the population in Tanzania use unimproved drinking water sources.
At these two child development centres accessing clean and safe water has been a challenge for many years. Their only available sources are high up in the mountains or through digging shallow wells in their neighbourhoods which are often contaminated. Children often walk up to 6kms every day to access water, with many associated dangers.
Part of Allmach’s business is providing piping for drinking water, and we have the desire to give back to the community, and support those who need a helping hand to overcome adversity as part of our 'helping hand' cause.
We’re excited to partner with Compassion to support this water project in Tanzania and impact the lives of children and families living in poverty.
